about it when we're talking about sensoring somebody for their moral views. if we looked 50 years ago with the obama administration it would be hard to say he had a woman problem. nevertheless, the fact is, we need to keep in mind especially at this pivotal time extent there's a problem with women, news stories saying women are, perhaps, more reluctant to take jobs that require longer house than we've seen anne marie slaughter article at that. we need to keep that in mind. you and i both, as fathers of young children, see how difficult it can be to do anything @after 5:00 p.m. if you're concerned with a child to the extent that burden falls disproportionately on women and we need to keep having that conversation so i'm glad to see that come up. >> and we have to talk about diversity of political opinion. on the issue of women, go back to president obama's first term welcome a large group of women, leaders, who were then his cabinet and within the white house, gather with him to say, we may be here but we want to be heard. there was an uprising at the very beginning. and then now, look

over 10 years. critics say president obama has all but ignored it. commission co-head simpson says the growing threat poses a major threat to the u.s. economy. >> where is the tipping point? i don't know where it is, but when it comes, going to be so swift and so savage. >> reporter: obama's plan proposes $360 billion in cuts to medicaid, medicare and other health programs over the next decade. but because costs in those programs are rising fast, the debt would be $6.4 trillion higher in 10 years. the president's budget also proposes cuts to discretionary and mandatory spending that would save $737 billion over a decade. military spending would be reduced, saving $487 billion. the fiscal cliff bill that congress passed on new year's day would also reduce projected deficits somewhat. higher taxes on households making above $450,000 and other tax increases will raise an additional $600 billion in revenue by 2022. but that's not enough. and as democrats and republicans gear up over the next few months to debate spending cuts, debt limits and the federal budget, there still is not a cr

think obama has papered over that for the last four years. but i think that's going to change here in the next few years. the first issue where i think we'll see a conversation on this is the question of entitlements. there are some folks in the democratic party who are happy to have a conversation on issues like the eligibility age for medicare. other democrats like sherrod brown, the senator from ohio, i talked to, they say hell, no, we are not going to have a conversation about that. that is core to our dna, and we're not going to move on that. >> j-mart, last time republicans had an internal debate about a lot of these issues, a lot of folks divided the party. you mention smd moderaed some m coming over to the democratic party. do you see a contentious primaries in the future for the 2014 midterms? >> well, look. i don't think you're going to see the sort of club-for-growth-style conservative on moderate attacks that you see in the gop. i think you're going to see some of that. keep in mind, the primary story began '06 when joe lieberman in connecticut faced a threat from his l
